Thousands of Iranian from the southern city of Ahwaz set off on a long march to the holy city of Karbala to attend the Arbaeen procession which marks the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in the Battle of Karbala in 680 AD.
