An Iranian Sunni scholar called for a massive turnout in Quds Day rallies saying that to ignore Quds is to ignore Islamic teachings.
Mamusta Mostafa Shirzadi, Sunni Friday prayer leader of Sanandaj in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) highlighted the necessity of massive participation of world Muslims in Quds Day rallies saying enemies have set up religious and sectarian issues in the Middle East to distract attentions from the issue of Quds.
He said enemies have spared no effort to prevent Quds Day ceremonies and noted,” At present the enemies have waged sectarian and religious wars in the Middle East countries, particularly Egypt and Syria, to distract attentions from the issue of Quds.”
Sunni scholar from Kurdistan Province called the Zionist regime as an ever enemy of Muslims and urged Islamic communities to disappoint the enemies with a massive attendance in Quds Day rallies.
Mamusta Shirzadi praised the naming of the last Friday of Ramadan as Quds Day and said enemies, during the past three decades have seriously tried to prevent the ceremonies for the day.
Sunni cleric expressed hope that Iranian people unanimously announce their support for Quds because forgetting Quds is in fact forgetting Islamic teachings.
