An Iranian Sunni scholar hailed the brotherly relations between Shia and Sunni communities in Golestan Province and stressed the importance of showing Islamic unity symbols.
Haj Akhoond Madad Houshmand, prayer leader of Incheborun in Gonbad County in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) lauded the congregation of Shia and Sunni Muslims in different national and Islamic ceremonies when they show Islamic meanings.
He said gathering of Shia and Sunni Muslims is based on the recommendation of the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and people are in fact realizing Islamic symbols.
Friday prayer leader in Golestan Province called unity a Qur’anic recommendation and said,” God Almighty, holy Qur’an, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and Ahlul Bayt (AS) (household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)) have all stressed the necessity of solidarity among Muslims.”
He called unity as a preliminary necessity to confront enemies’ intrigues and reiterated that as an important need for the time because enemies have targeted Islam and Muslims.
This Iranian Sunni prayer leader condemned US and Zionist backed terror attacks in Syria saying,” Everyday Muslim people of Syria are killed through the plots of the enemies.”
He praised the activities of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought in bringing more convergence and solidarity among Muslim communities and called the Islamic unity center a proper model for uniting Shia and Sunni together.
