Top Iranian Sunni cleric denounced US designation of Iran’s IRGC stressing that had it not been for the elite military forces, Europe would have been plagued by the notorious terrorist group, Daesh.

Molavi Es’haq Madani, representative of Sistan and Baluchistan Province in Assembly of Experts, in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) denounced the US blacklisting of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and hailed the military group for saving the world, particularly the west, from the terrorist group threat.
 
He called the US President Donald Trump as an unusual phenomenon of the era.
 
Top Sunni cleric noted that the world is quite aware of the anti-terror nature of the IRGC and said,” Had it not been for resistance of Iran’s Guards Corps against Daesh terrorists in Syria and Iraq, European countries would not have been at peace now.”
 
He referred to several terrorist attacks by Daesh terrorists across the world and praised endeavors of the IRGC for stemming the plague in the world, particularly in the western countries.
 
“To blacklist IRGC as terrorist organization is the way the west has expressed its gratitude for the Guards Corps” said Molavi Es’haq Madani and added,” This is because the west sees IRGC as a threat for Tel Aviv regime; hence, they struggle to undermine the mighty Iranian military force.”
 
He reiterated the solidarity of Iranian Sunni communities and the non Muslims with IRGC and stressed the US measure is in fact an attack on popularity of the Iranian military elite though it has been all in vain.”
