Cultural figure from Oman hailed Iran’s Hormuz Peace Initiative as a rational proposal manifesting the country’s good will.
Ali Masoud al-Mo’shani, Omani author in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) lauded Islamic Republic’s Hormuz Peace Initiative calling that a manifestation of Supreme Leader’s good will.
He referred to a 1976 proposal by Sultan of Oman, Sultan Qaboos bun Said calling for launching a political-military coalition of the Persian Gulf Arab states plus Iran and Iraq stressing expansion of cooperation among them in a bid to distance the region from international polarizations.
Al-Mo’shani said,” We find Iran challenging good will of the other countries with its Hormuz Peace Initiative” and added,” This plan is undoubtedly a realistic and rational proposal.”
Omani author also related on the relationship between the Arab sultanate and the Islamic Republic and noted Tehran-Muscat ties as ‘quite deep’ and ‘based on equality and common interests.’
