Prayer leader of Sunni community in Kermanshah Province called Shai and Sunni Muslims as brothers and condemned those who highlight the disagreements between the Islamic denominations.
Mamusta Molla Ahmad Sheikhi, senior Sunni scholar from Salas-e Babajani County in Iran’s Kermanshah Province in an interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) said disagreements between Shia and Sunni are natural though enemies underline these controversies with the hope of sparking sectarian war in the country.
He said,” The desperate struggles of enemies to isolate Islamic Iran is clear to all and the anti-revolution agents, backed by enemies, are in pursuit of insecurity and killing hiding themselves behind these plots.”
Top cleric noted that Iran has been intolerable to bullying countries and stated,” Enemies of Islam are in pursuit of minimizing the territory and power of Islamic lands as they have shown in practice their pursuit of the same fate of Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan for our country, Iran.”
He also condemned the unprecedented media war by enemies in order to bring social and psychological insecurity by touching the ethnical and religious sensitivity and provoke Shia and Sunni to stand against each other.
