Friday prayer leader of Sanandaj, in Kurdistan Province, demanded widespread presence of the people in the upcoming presidential election calling that a public mission.
Mamusta Hessam El Din Mojtahedi, Friday prayer leader at the Sunni inhibited city of Sanandaj, in his weekly sermon highlighted cooperation of people with the authorities as a unique feature of Islamic system which has led to honor and glory of Iranian nation, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” Every Iranian individual is responsible for his country; therefore, he has to have full cooperation in different arenas of the country.”
Representative of Kurdistan Province in Iran’s Parliament noted that Iranian nation has never ignored the plots of the enemies and will bring another blow to them by all-out presence in May presidential election.
He added,” Due to the great Islamic system and leadership of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, we are witness to daily promotion in the spiritual status of Iran in the world which would never realize unless at the support of the people.”
He referred to a great turnout of the people in presidential elections calling that as an outstanding feature of religious democracy and praised the remarkable participation of the people in previous elections as an epic.
Sunni scholar form Kurdistan also stressed importance of unity and solidarity among different denominations in Iran saying,” Honor and determination of Iran is due to solidarity of the people; therefore, everyone is responsible to protect this unity.”/HK
