Egyptian grand sheikh of Azmiya order rejected allegations of efforts for spread of Shi’ism in Egypt and stressed the present disagreements between Islamic denominations are politically inspired.
Sheikh Abul Azaem, leader of Azmiya order in Egypt, referred to the political objectives of Salafi groups calling the Zionist regime as the main enemy of Muslim world and said there is no difference between Shia and Sunni, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said Salafis divide Islamic nation in regards to their political objectives and added,” Our enemy is the Zionist regime and the friends of our enemy are the US and Europe while the enemy of our friends are the thugs who bring disunity among Muslims.”
“On the other hand,” added the Egyptian figure,” Our friends are all Muslim countries, friends of our friends are the countries who have no animosity with Muslim countries, like Japan, Russia, China and Venezuela and the enemy of our enemy is Iran who is our friend and very dear for Muslim world.”/HK
