Friday prayer leaders of Lebanon, in their weekly sermon hailed global condemnation of Beirut blasts and demanded support for such views through unity and dialogue among different political groups.
Seyyed Ali Fadl Allah, prayer leader of Hassanein (AS) Mosque in Beirut, slammed recent terror attack in the Lebanese capital saying that the blast was scheduled by the Zionists and aimed at intensifying disagreement between Lebanon citizens and relating the incident to sectarian clashes.
He said the unanimous national condemnation of the event was a very important move but it will be vain if it does not lead to Islamic and national solidarity.
According to the prayer leader dispersion among Arab countries brings the greatest satisfaction to the Zionist regime.
In another development, Sheikh Abdul Amir Qabalan, deputy of Lebanon, Higher Shia Council, warned against misrepresentation of Islam by those who are ignorant on the essence of the holy religion and said, “These people are aimed at giving a tarnished image of Islam by their terror attacks.”
Lebanese cleric demanded the nations of Syria, Iraq, Egypt and Bahrain to avoid intrigues and start dialogue for realization of the benefits of their country.
Sheikh Affif Nablosi, prayer leader of Sidon, in his speech, referred to the terror attacks in Beirut and said,” This terrorist operation aimed at fueling the intrigues and intensifying sectarian clashes in the region.”
Sheikh Ahmad Qabalan, Jafari Mufti of Lebanon in his sermon said,” There are several ways out of the present situation but we are all mandated to choose one way and that is serving our country by trying to boost unity among people.”
He stressed savior of the country is dependent on mutual understanding and standing beside the army.
Prominent scholar also demanded Lebanese politicians to struggle for saving the country from the devastating clashes and open a new page of national cooperation to rescue Lebanon from regional challenges before it is late.
