A senior Iranian Sunni cleric referred to necessity of Islamic unity to beat the enemies of Islam saying that freedom of Al Quds is dependent on solidarity between Shia and Sunni.
Molavi Mohammadreza Khosravi, Sunni prayer leader in Birjand, Southern Khorasan Province, in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA) referred to the sorrow of all Muslims over the crimes by the Zionist regime against Muslim people of Palestine demanding people to voice their anger at the oppression in international Quds Day, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He noted that the massive presence of the people in international Quds Day will strengthen Palestinian nation said,” The oppressed nation of Palestine have sacrificed many martyrs for liberation of al Quds and participation of the people in international Quds Day is in fact a sympathy with these oppressed nation.”
He highlighted the fraternity of Iranian and Palestinian nations and necessity of supporting a religious brother in times of trouble saying, “All Islamic states have to unite against the Zionist regime of Israel to defend the divine religion of Islam and rights of Islamic nations against oppressors.”
Molavi Khosravi demanded Iranian people to participate upcoming International Quds Day rallies because that would strengthen the spirits of Palestinian nation to find that other people are standing up for them.
Iranian Sunni scholar called support for the oppressed Palestinian nation as a religious mandate and said,” Now people across the world are aware of the fake power of Zionist regime because it has been proved in Lebanon and Gaza Wars.”
Religious figure called the issue of Quds as a global crisis and said silence against such brutal behaviors by the Zionist regime of Israel is a kind of betrayal to Islam.
Molavi Khosravi also said, “Naming of International Quds Day by late Imam Khomeini (RA) was an innovative move that awakened Muslims across the world and Islamic Awakening that we are witnessing in the world.”
Late founder of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Rouhollah Khomeini (RA), named the last Friday of Ramadan as International al Quds Day to convene Muslim communities across the world to stand up for the rights of oppressed Muslims in Palestine.
