Top Syrian cleric referred to the pressure of the western media against Syria and a pending military invasion to the country stressing that Syrians will resist in defending their country and their rights.
Sheikh Badr El Din Hassoun, senior Syrian Mufti, attended the ceremony for anniversary of Women’s Union in Syria hailing the perseverance of Syrian people demanding, “Where are the Arabs and their Arab League vow to defend their common interests?”, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He noted the fake pretexts that are brought to attack Syria are a copy of those which had been brought for Iraq invasion and said, ”Enemies of Syria are pursuing military invasion to the country since they did not make it to carry out their plots and their domestic puppets could not break the resistance of the nation.”
This religious figure addressed Syrian insurgents and stressed,” Here I demand the opposition side to merely keep their opposite stance and avoid any treachery to aid the enemies for intruding the country.”
Sheikh Hassoun also said the loyal youths in Syria are ready to confront the enemies and they are quite certain of their victory against this oppressive movement.
