An Iranian researcher has discovered a new gene, indicating cancer cells of human gastrointestinal tract.
Malek Hossein Mohammadi, an Iranian researcher from Tarbiat Modarres University who has discovered the gene has found out that OCT4B1 is responsible for immortality of cell cancers in human gastrointestinal tract.
The OCT4 is responsible for pluripotency of stem cells and has been discovered many years ago, but the new version of the gene known as 'OCT4B1' is reported for the first time in the world by the Iranian molecular genetics specialist.
The breakthrough could prove effective in death of cancer cells in human gastrointestinal tract and treatment of the disease
