An Iranian religious figure stressed defending Syria as a duty for all Muslims and called the proposal for international supervision over Syria chemical weapons as a failure for the US.

Hujjat-ol-Islam Jafar Shajouni, member of Combatant Clergy Association, called the full support of the US for the Zionist regime of Israel as the reason for the dishonor of the America in the international arena stressing the Zionist regime of Israel would be the first victim if an invasion against Syria was performed, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

He said if the US attacked Syria, it would have committed a political suicide and called the Zionist regime as the first victim of the issue.

He said,” The US is perfectly taken in, fully funds and accepts to pay for its mistakes.”

The cleric referred to the formation of the Zionist regime by Britain six decades ago submitting the caretaking duties to the US and said,” US is tired of supporting Israel and once Arab states unite they can liberate Al Quds.”

Hujjat-ol-Islam Shajouni stressed that after the Zionist regime it is time to eliminate so-called Muslim countries that support the arrogant powers.

He referred to acknowledgement of the people across the globe about hypocrisy of the US calling them as true hypocrites….

“The Americans have defaces themselves.” he said and called chemical attack against Syria only a pretext for the US to invade Syria while they do not move a finger for the oppressed people in Bahrain.”
According to the Iranian scholar this is while Yemeni people demanding topple of the regime in their country have no support and the civilians are constantly the target of US drones.
