Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought stressed based on Quranic pledges Israel is doomed to collapse.

"Annihilation of Zionim regime is a sure thing and a Quranic pledge," said Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

Speaking in a meeting with Lebanese scholar Sheikh Mohammad Yazbek, the grand Ayatollah placed stress on the cardinal role of unity and solidarity of Muslims in countering the regime of Zionism and the arrogant World.

President of Iran top unity center beckoned to the achievements attained during the first General Assembly of Islamic Resistance Ulema Union mounted in Lebanon attended by featured clerics and religious thinkers.

"The participants in the event all believed the collapse of the Zionist regime and the liberation of Palestine categorically would occure," said the senior cleric.

Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought held conference as a successful event, noting it convened a large number of Muslim world scholars to open dialogue over the issue of Palestine.

Ayatollah Araki also met with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri on Friday. The two discussed regional and international developments including the recent nuclear agreement between Iran and world powers as well as ways for enhancement of Islamic unity.

Titled “Unity for Palestine”, the first world conference of Resistance Movement Scholars was held in the Lebanese capital city on Tuesday and Wednesday.
