The Jamaat e Islami chief, Syed Munawar Hasan, has said that the anti-Islam and hypocritical attitude of the US and other western nations was the biggest obstacle in the solution of Kashmir and Palestine issues.
He was addressing the Kashmir Solidarity rally in Islamabad. JI deputy chief, Prof. Khurshid Ahmed, JI Azad Kashmir chief, Abdur Rashid Turabi and other party leaders also spoke.
Syed Munawar Hasan said that the US was destroying the world peace because of its anti-Islam policies and its patronage to India and Israel. However, he said, the world scenario was giving a look of complete US failure. He said, in Tunisia and Egypt that were taken as US colonies, the masses had risen against oppression and tyrannical rule. In Afghanistan, too, the US and NATO forces with their latest weapons, had been defeated by the unarmed Afghans. The US open aggression and its anti- enmity towards Islam was forcing the people to adopt the path of Jehad.
The JI chief said that Indian, in spite of full US backing and WashingtonIs desire to built it as regional power, had completely failed in Kashmir and its nearly 8 lakh troops had failed to crush the freedom movement. He said, the biggest threat to India was none else than its extremist Hindus whose tyranny had forced its minorities to struggle for freedom. He said the hand of blood-thirsty Hindus behind the incidents at Ajmer, the Makkah Mosque and the Samjhota Express had already been exposed.
