Jama’at-e-Islami, J&K Friday said, “Its stand on Kashmir issue is clear and that it is a human issue which should be resolved in light of the promises made with its people.
“The issue can be also resolved through tripartite talks involving Indian and Pakistani rulers and people from both parts of Kashmir,” the Jama’at spokesman, Advocate Zahid Ali said in a statement.
He said Islam is its ideology and it strives for the propagation and promotion of Islamic values and way of life in the State.
He clarified that Jama’at was operating and carrying forward its mission in the State through peaceful means that include preaching, imparting education and using other moral resources.
“These means are not detrimental to peace in the state nor can there be any apprehension of creating anarchy or disorder in the society,” he said.
