Iran supreme leader has pardoned some convicts after a call by the head of Iran's judiciary system.

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei pardoned and commuted 601 convicts on the occasion of the Islamic Republic Day.
 
The leader, at proposal of Ayatollah Sadiq Amoli Larijani, Judiciary Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran, issued a decree to pardon and commute 601 convicts on first of April, Islamic Republic Day. 

Different national occasions in the Islamic Republic of Iran become the opportunity for some convicts to be pardoned by Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
