Top Bahraini Shia leader, Sheikh Isa Qassim, has sent a message following passing of Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri senior Iranian cleric and member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts.

Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Qassim, leader of Bahraini Shias, in his condolence message praised the late Islamic unity figure as a role model for love of the right and sacrifice, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
In part of his message the Bahraini cleric extended sympathies for loss of a role model of love, rationality, ethics and persistence for the good.
 
Sheikh Isa Qassim noted the loss of great Islamic unity figure as irreparable and expressed extended sympathies with the bereaved family of the late scholar.
 
Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri aged 76 has passed away due to heart disease in a hospital in Tehran following five decades of endeavor for promoting Islam, solidarity among Muslims and proximity of different Islamic denominations.
 
He served as the advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs and was former secretary general of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
