All India Shia Council (AISC) has hailed Iran's Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri as tireless harbinger of people to Islamic unity in a condolence message released to the Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic.
Seyyed Jalal Haidar Naqavi, president of All India Shia Council in his condolence message praised the former secretary general of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought for a life of endeavors to promote Islamic solidarity, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He extended sympathies with seminaries, jurisprudents and the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.
Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri was the advisor of Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs and a member of Iran's Assembly of Experts.
He had spent over five decades of his life to promote Islamic teachings and solidarity among Islamic denominations. The cleric, aged 76, passed away due to heart disease on Tuesday.
