Ziad al-Nakhalah, leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, has issued a condolence message to express sympathy with the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and Iranian nation over passing of major Islamic unity figure and member of the Assembly of Expert, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri.
Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement in a condolence message issued on Tuesday hailed senior Iranian cleric Ayatollah Taskhiri as a man of jihad (struggle for God Almighty), culture, Islamic unity and defending Palestine, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Ziad Nakhalah in this message referred to Ayatollah Taskhiri and said," He was a man for jihad, science, culture and diplomacy, Islamic unity, honor of the Muslim nation, fighting enemies and a man to defend Palestine."
He extended sympathy with the Supreme Leader, World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, scholars, intellectuals and the bereaved family of the senior cleric.
Advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs and member of Iran's Assembly of Experts Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri passed away due to heart disease in Tehran. His body was laid to rest in the holy shrine of Hazrat Masoumeh (AS) in Qom.
Late Ayatollah Taskhiri was globally respected due to his endeavors to promote solidarity among different Islamic denominations.
