Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations has issued a message to condemn French weekly, Charlie Hebdo, over reprinting of cartoons disrespecting Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
Iranian top Islamic organization in its statement has called on pious community across the globe to voice solidarity against sacrilege of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
“Sacrilege of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) by French weekly Charlie Hebdo has once again hurt the feelings of Muslims across the globe” said ICRO in its message and added,” Silence of the French authorities under the pretext of freedom of expression.
According to the statement this is not the first time Islamic sanctities are desecrated in sacrilegious cartoons or publication of distorted image of the holy religion.
Iranian cultural organization urged for more investigation into the origins and reasons behind Qur’an burning in Sweden and reprinting of heinous cartoons by French satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo.
Organization of Islamic Culture and Relations denounced the desecration of sanctities, holy prophets and religions and warned the US, Zionist regime and their pawns in the region that Muslim nations will not forget anti-Islam hostilities and intrigues hatched by western politicians.
