Norwegian Prime Minister, Erna Solberg, has announced new action plan to combat racism and segregation in the country stressing that the previous plan proposed in December 2019 did not prove to be sufficient.
Norwegian Prime Minister Solberg and Culture and Gender Equality Minister Abid Raja have announced a new national action plan targeting the hatred of Muslims and discrimination in the country.
Norwegian government has stressed that the previous action plan to combat racism and discrimination in general has not been enough.
Prime Minister Solberg also stressed necessity of preventing increasing negative views on Muslims which she relates to the refugee wave in 2015.
According to the latest surveys 34 percent of Norwegians bear anti-Muslim sentiments and almost 40 percent believe Muslims pose threat against Norwegian culture.
