Ayatollah Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, director of Ashura International Foundation has issued a message on Sunday to condemn the recent terrorist attack against Kabul University which led to death of nearly two dozen people.
Senior Iranian cleric in his condolence message expressed regret over death of 22 university students from Kabul University as a heinous crime which goes against religious, moral and humanitarian laws, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The cleric said,” These terrorists mean to spark religious division, launch tension and undermine the regional security in a bid to materialize the demands of world arrogant powers and international Zionism.”
He noted,” To attack against university where science, thoughts and ideas are taught and exchanged and killing the students and professors who aimed for promoting their country manifests the desperation of terrorism in combating the determination of Muslims, particularly Afghan people.”
Ayatollah Akhtari called all Muslim countries to cooperate for combating and ending terrorism and extremism.
The cleric expressed hope for prevalence of peace, stability and security in the Middle East region.
At least 22 university students have lost their lives and 22 others wounded as a group of armed assailants attacked the university of Kabul in a brutal raid claimed later by Daesh Takfiri terrorists.
