Kenya holds webinar on "Jesus Christ in the Holy Qur'an"

Iran's cultural attaché in Kenya has held online interfaith dialogue to stress necessity of convergence between Christianity and Islam.


Jafar Barmaki, Iran's ambassador to Kenya in his comments in this webinar referred to the coexistence of different religions in the Islamic Republic and highlighted peace and calm as necessities to build security.
 
He called coexistence as an achievement of modern life while Islam recommends to that both in the holy Qur'an and in lifestyle of Ahlul Bayt (AS).
 
He quoted the Qur'anic verse on necessity of coexistence and stressed," People should not be discriminated based on their races, beliefs or denominations."
 
According to the Iranian envoy the name of "Islam" conveys the meaning of peace and Islamic teachings and that how the Muslim and non-Muslim people during the time of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) lived at peace based on a charter announced by the prophet of Islam.
 
The online meeting on "Jesus Christ in the Holy Qur'an" aimed to expand the religious relations, peace, solidarity and fraternity between Christian and Muslim brothers.
Jafar Barmaki, Iran's ambassador and Abouzat Toqani, cultural attaché, Archbishop David Tgana, Sheikh Yousef Abu Hamzeh and Sheikh Mahdi Qassem were among the participants in the online meeting of the religious figures held by the Organization of Culture and Islamic Relations in collaboration with Iran's embassy in the African country.
