Representative of the Supreme Leader in Indi a stressed no religion, by nature, supports extremism and terrorism attending online interfaith meeting to mark the prominent Islamic figure and philanthropist, Kalb Sadiq held by India.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Mahdi Mahdavipour, prominent Shia cleric in this webinar held by Aligarh Muslim University in collaboration with Wilayat Foundation noted opposition of terrorism with all holy religions denying any relation between terrorist groups and Islam, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said," All religions are in pursuit of peace and happiness and all those who follow terrorism naming Daesh, Al Nusra and Taliban have no relation with Islam which is the religion of peace and kindness towards one another."
Iranian cleric added," All wars, bloodshed and corruption in the world is due to people distancing from religion" referring the late founder of Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini, who in early days of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, called on all religious leaders to practice their religious beliefs.
Representative of the Supreme Leader in India noted that unity among all religions in possible because of the numerous commonalities of all schools of thought.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Mahdi Mahdavipour made the comments in an interfaith webinar held by India attended by religious and political figures from different countries who unanimously stressed necessity of peace, reconciliation and affection among all people.
