Director of al-Aqsa Mosque has stressed that normalization of ties between some Arab states and the Zionist regime of Israel has increased desecration of the holy mosque as the move has been counted a green light from these countries for continuation of occupation and materialization of the Zionist regime objectives.
Sheikh Omar al-Kiswani, has condemned the Zionist regime for pursuit of a plan in Jerusalem al-Quds which aims separation of the holy city from the rest of Palestinian cities as part of efforts to beat the two-state plan, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He slammed the Zionist regime for evacuation of the Palestinians from their homes under different pretexts in order to promote their settlement plans.
Director of al-Aqsa Mosque referred to Israel's demolition of 500 Palestinian homes in 2020 and displacement of the owners and slammed high construction tax in al-Quds which is unaffordable for the people while it continues its settlement plans in the region.
Al-Kiswani referred to the restrictions set for the Palestinian settlers banning their congregational prayers under the pretext of the new coronavirus while the Israeli settlers are permitted to enter the holy moque.
He also condemned the Israeli settlers for thousands of desecrating behavior towards the holy mosque and their efforts to vanish the Islamic identity of the place.
"The occupation policy by Israeli regime and siege of the mosque will not change the true identity of the mosque as the mosque will remain an Arab-Islamic place" said the director of al-Aqsa Mosque and stressed that al-Aqsa Mosque belongs merely to the Muslims.
He said," Normalization deals between some Arab states and Israeli regime has increased desecrations against al-Aqsa Mosque since it has counted as a green light from these countries for the Israeli regime to continue its occupation.
