Larijani hails late Sheikh-ul-Islam for commitment to Islamic revolution

Deputy of the Supreme Leader has hailed the contributions of late Hussein Sheikh-ul-Islam for commitment to high objectives of Imam Khomeini (RA) and Islamic revolution.


Ali Larijani, deputy of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, attended the webinar "Ambassador of Unity and Resistance" held on the first passing anniversary of Hussein Sheikh-ul-Islam, Iran's former ambassador to Syria who passed away in early March 2020 due to the new coronavirus and highlighted the commitment of the cultural figure to 1979 Islamic revolution, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
The top official lauded late Sheikh-ul-Islam as a diligent and sincere person whose major concern was to advance objectives of the Islamic revolution.
 
"Ups and downs and the circumstances would never affect his motivations to pursue the objectives of late Imam Khomeini (RA)" said Ali Larijani referring to his services during his office as the Member of Parliament, Iran's ambassador to Syria and Lebanon and also as the advisor in Foreign Ministry.
 
He also praised the close relations between late Sheikh-ul-Islam and the military, security and economic sections of the country and his inspirations for promoting objectives of the Islamic Republic in different arenas.
 
Ali Larijani made the comments in the international webinar held by Iran's World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought on the first passing anniversary of former ambassador to Lebanon and Syria.
 
68-year-old political and cultural figure Hussein Sheikh-ul-Islam passed away due to the new coronavirus in early March 2020.
