Spanish university to host Islam-Christianity interfaith webinar
Catholic University of Avila in collaboration with Iran's cultural attaché in Spain has scheduled to hold online interfaith meeting on "Mysticism in Islam and Christianity" in May.

Mohammad Mahdi Ahmadi, Iran's cultural attaché in Spain had a meeting with representatives of the Catholic University of Avila to discuss the upcoming interfaith webinar on the moral life of Muslim and Christian mystics, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Three Iranian professors will elaborate on the life of three Muslim mystics (Attar of Nishapur, Ibn Arabi and Haydar Amuli) and three professors from the Catholic University of Avila will exchange views on the moral aspect of Iranian and Christian mystics in a bid to introduce a proper role model for modern man.
Text of the lectures at this webinar will be compiled in a bilingual Persian-Spanish book.
Iran's cultural attaché in this meeting referred to the recent meeting between Pope Francis and Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Sistani as the inspiration to hold the upcoming webinar and hailed the meeting as the two leaders stressed convergence, compassion, rejection of violence and also boosting coexistence between the religions.
