An artwork tapestry by Iranian women has been installed at the golden porch of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine in Karbala.
Iranian women from the city of Isfahan have made a tapestry decorated with jewels as a present for the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS), half-brother to Imam Hussein (AS), reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
The tapestry which reads the name of Hazrat Abbas (AS) and two Qur'an verses has been installed at the golden porches of the holy shrine on mid Ramadan.
The workshop for the secretariat of reconstruction of holy shrines has a record of creating artwork tapestries for other shrines.
Hazrat Abbas (AS) was the half-brother and loyal companion of Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shia Imam and grandson of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) who was martyred in the Battle of Karbala back in 680 AD. Their holy shrines are in the holy city of Karbala.
