Human Rights watchdogs said the majority of children in the besieged Gaza are seriously suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder caused by 12-day Israeli attacks on the enclave.
EuroMed Rights Network in its latest report has detailed the impacts of the 12-day Israeli attacks on mental health of the Palestinian children in Gaza Strip, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
In a study on the mental situation of 530 children from across the Gaza Strip, the report showed 9 out of 10 children are suffering from PTSD caused by the Israeli attacks.
The report also warned on the 2,500 women expecting their children within the next three months who are under direct or indirect impacts of the Israeli aggression on the besieged enclave.
The study was carried out following the 12-day Tel Aviv attacks in May which led to death of 248 Palestinians, demolition of residential areas, schools, hospitals and media centers as well as displacement of thousands of people in the Gaza Strip.
EuroMed Rights also noted that the Israeli airstrikes on several residential centers had left 241 children orphans and 5,400 others homeless.
