Head of Iraq’s center for strategic studies stressed that the US targeting Iraqi forces positions on Iraq Syria border because they block transfer of terrorists into the country.

Hashem al-Kindi, senior Iraqi political expert in an interview with Iran’s Tasnim News Agency slammed the recent US atrocities against Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) in line with their aggression against Iraqi security forces in a bid to weaken their military capabilities in counter-terrorism campaign, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” The US is targeting Hashd al-Sha’abi forces since they block the ways for American forces transfer of terrorists into Iraq.”
 
Al-Kindi noted,” The US also intends to create an image that the Iraqi security forces are incapable of defending themselves; hence, there is enough reason for American forces to stay longer in Iraq.”
 
He stated that the US rhetoric on incapability of Iraqi forces to defend their country is to postpone execution of the Parliament’s bill for withdrawal of American forces from the Arab country.
 
According to the Iraqi political expert the recent parade performed on seventh anniversary of Hashd al-Sha’abi has irked the US forces since they abhor an Iraq with efficient powerful security forces that overcomes terrorists.
 
Al-Kindi stressed,” The US has constantly violated the sovereignty and security of Iraqi citizens and soil the most prominent of them assassination of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Muhandis, commanders of counter-terrorism.”
 
He warned that the US forces have no way but to understand the discourse of Islamic resistance and vowed that all countries will find a powerful Iraq speaking in a language understandable for Americans.
