Senior Iranian cleric slammed years of war and insecurity in Afghanistan stressing that extremist movements like Taliban have no relation with religion.
Ayatollah Reza Ramezani, secretary general of Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly referred to domination of the world arrogant powers on extremist groups in Afghanistan stressing that such groups have no relation with religion or its teachings, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He expressed regret over years of war and insecurity in Afghanistan and noted that unconditional and full pull out of US forces should be the sole demand of the Afghan nation.
The cleric highlighted brevity and piety as two features of the Afghan nation and called for establishment of a popular government in Afghanistan following the withdrawal of American troops from the country.
Secretary General of Ahlul Bayt (AS) World Assembly denounced the recent provocations by Taliban militants and rejected any link between the extremist groups and religions.
Ayatollah Ramezani made the comments in a meeting with CEO of Afghan radio amid the recent advances made by Taliban militants in the country.
