Member of Lebanon’s Assembly of Muslim Scholars highlighted the role of seminaries in promotion of unity in the Islamic nation and called on Muslim clerics to spread spirit of fraternity among Muslims.

Sheikh Qazi Hanieh, senior Lebanese cleric in his speech at the webinar on role of cultural centers in promoting Islamic proximity highlighted the role of Muslim scholars in enlightening of the way and promoting the spirit of unity in the Islamic nation throughout history, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He called Islamic unity as a pillar on which the Islamic nation is set up demanding the scholars from different denominations to spread fraternity and affection.
 
He said,” No Muslim should pursue division in the Islamic nation and calling the people to unity is a religious mission for all religious scholars.”
 
He hailed Iran’s World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought for three decades of endeavor to expand solidarity among world Muslims.
 
“We should struggle to turn into a unified body in confrontation with the political, moral and social challenges” said the Lebanese cleric in his speech at the online meeting of Muslim clerics to discuss the role of cultural centers in promoting Islamic proximity.
 
The webinar was held on the fiftieth anniversary of the meeting held by Egypt’s al-Azhar delegation to Iran at the invitation of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
