Narendra Modi, Indian Prime Minister has received a letter from the EU in line with increasing pressures from the top international organization and also the leading Islamic body, OIC to review his policies against the Muslim community in Kashmir, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
16 members of the European Union have sent a letter to the President of the European Commission regarding the crime against Muslims in Indian-administered Kashmir urging him to adopt the UN resolutions regarding the ongoing crimes against the Muslims in the region.
The signatories of the letter called on the EU to apply all possible means to press India to respect the rights of Muslims in Kashmir.
They also expressed regret over adoption of new regulations against the people in Kashmir and also intensification of the ties between the two neighbors India and Pakistan.
This is while 626 out of 751 members of the European Union issued a resolution earlier in 2021 condemning the discrimination in civil rights against Indian Muslims.
