At least a dozen Afghan civilians have lost their lives during the incidents at Kabul airport following Taliban takeover of the capital on Sunday, a Taliban official said.

As a result of the shooting and crowd of Afghan civilians escaping the capital Kabul under the siege of Taliban militants 12 people have lost their lives, a Taliban official told Reuters on the condition of anonymity.
 
Taliban had reportedly urged the people to leave the airport if they did not have a travel permit as they did not want to hurt anyone.
 
Thousands of Afghans have flocked to Kabul airport fearing the conditions following Taliban takeover of the country.
