Director of al-Huda Publication in Iran called late Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri the flag bearer of Islamic unity in the world hailing the former advisor of Supreme Leader for spending his life to promote Islam.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Mohammad Asadi Movahhed, in an interview with Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) referred to promotion of Islamic unity among world Muslims as the major concern for late Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri highlighting the different aspects in decades of endeavor for Islam by the late cleric, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
Iranian scholar conducted the interview in the wake of the first passing anniversary of Ayatollah Taskhiri related on the intellectuality, oratory and fluency of his expression, particularly in Arabic-speaking countries.
"The late cultural researcher in the international arena was a smart scholar in interaction, strong reasoning and rhetoric and a modest mystic" said the Iranian cleric quoting the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei calling Ayatollah Taskhiri as a "weariless scholar."
He said that the English translation of book on Qur'an exegesis by Ayatollah Taskhiri will begin on the first passing anniversary of the late cleric.
Aged 76, the scholar passed away on August 18, 2021 due to heart disease. He was a pioneer Islamic unity figure and a globally popular scholar due to his moderate views.
Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri had served in different key positions among them: advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs, member of Iran's Assembly of Experts and also secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
