Iranian envoy to the United Nations stressed that the conductive grounds for putting an end to Syria conflict is the uninvited foreign forces must leave the country without any precondition.
Zahra Ershadi, ambassador and charge d'affaires ad interim of the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations in a statement on "The situation in the Middle East (Syria-Political and Humanitarian) on Tuesday referred to resolution 2585 through which the Security Council called upon all Member States to respond with practical steps to the urgent needs of the Syrian people."
She counted the water, sanitation, health, education and early recovery projects as the essential services that must practically be provided for the Syrian war-stricken people.
Iranian envoy to the UN noted that the unlawful unilateral sanctions against Syria as one major cause of the current situation in the war-torn country stressing that the council by using the term "practical steps" is in fact implicitly calling for removal of those sanctions in a bid to follow the "early recovery projects."
She noted that sanctions against Syria are seriously undermining the efficiency of humanitarian operations in the Arab country.
Iranian envoy stressed that the Syrian crisis must be settled through peaceful channels in accordance with the international law and particularly with respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
"To create conductive grounds for ending the conflict in Syria, all uninvited foreign forces must leave that country without any precondition and delay and terrorists must be confronted" she said.
It also called on the UNSC to compel the Tel Aviv regime to end its aggressions against sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria.
