Macron condemned over repeating Islamophobic rhetoric

1 Sep 2021 - 12:01

French President Emmanuel Macron has been criticized once again over repeating Islamophobic tone in a new tweet relating extremist and Daesh terrorists to Islam.

Macron in his tweet, denounced by Muslims, said," Although we beat Daesh, fight against Islamic terrorism has not finished yet."

Muslims believe that the major issue with "Islamic terrorism" refers to a close relation with Islam while Islam is the religions of peace and protection for life and property of all people explicitly banning all forms of terrorism and extremist moves.

French President had previously claimed that Islamic separatism is troublesome and the problem with the ideology is that it prioritizes its law over the laws of republic.

Emmanuel Macron had unveiled a new legislation back in October 2020 promoting restriction on religious symbols, particularly hijab, for the staff at private section.

In another instance he rejected to prevent publication of sacrilegious cartoons of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), a statement which irked Muslim world.

An international union comprising 36 non-governmental organizations representing 13 countries called on the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to make serious decision on the systematic measures by French Islamophobes led by Emmanuel Macron.
