At least two Afghan civilians have lost their lives and several more injured as bomb explosion at entrance of mosque rocks the capital Kabul on Sunday.
The bomb has reportedly hit Eidgah Mosque where a ceremony was held to mark mother of Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid.
A spokesman from the interior ministry, Qari Sayed Khosti confirmed the casualties including two deaths and three injured in the attack.
Civilians wounded in the incident were hurried to the nearby Emergency Hospital and local residents heard gunfire following the explosion.
Daesh attacks against Taliban militants have increased since their takeover of the capital in mid-August and the possibility of clashes between the two sides is increasing.
Daesh has claimed for several terrorist attacks against Taliban which have led to civilian and militant casualties.
The Sunday attack in Kabul came as Taliban senior figures and supporters held their first meeting since takeover of the capital.
More than 1,500 supporters of Taliban gathered in the victory gathering in Kohdaman township in the outskirts of the capital.
