Cleric hails moderate approach of Ayat. Taskhiri
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought highlighted the sublime character, lifestyle and endeavors of Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri in the webinar for the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference held on Monday.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in his speech addressing the Iranian and foreign participants called the late advisor of the Supreme Leader as a cleric with moderate thoughts popular in the international arena, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He referred to the enthusiasm of the late scholar in Arab literature which had made a unique lecturer with special rhetoric which attracted his audiences in conferences he attended.
The cleric also referred to the higher religious education of late Ayatollah Taskhiri and also the prominent professors and clerics he had learnt from.
"His next feature was his fifty years of endeavor in the international arena and his constant participation in global meetings which had brought him several friends and followers in the world of Islam" noted the Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari highlighted the high ethical etiquettes in the senior cleric particularly with scholars from other denominations who found the Shia cleric quite affable.
"The late cleric followed moderate thoughts" he said on the late advisor of the Supreme Leader in Muslim world affairs and said the cleric could successfully convey this moderate approach to his listeners.
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari noted that late Ayatollah Taskhiri maintained a trans-national viewpoint which had turned him into a globally popular figure and a member of several international organizations.
The webinar was particularly held in the 35th International Islamic Unity Conference to mark the endeavors, character and works by the late cleric.
Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri (1944-2020) was a prominent Shia cleric and advisor of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in the Muslim world Affairs. The cleric had also served as the secretary general of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought and member of Iran's Assembly of Experts.
