The Archbishop of Sebastia from the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem called for an end to aggression in Yemen and the impoverished people in the war-torn country.
Archbishop Atallah Hana condemned Saudi Arabia’s targeting the civilians in Yemen stressing it is high time Yemen war ended, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
His defense for the Yemeni civilians comes amid Lebanese Foreign Minister’s condemnation of the Saudi-led coalition attack on the impoverished Arab nation.
George Kardahi, political activist and famous Lebanese journalist who has been appointed as Information Minister in Najib Mikati administration has said in a television program stressed importance of ending Yemen war.
Following the remarks by Kardahi, Saudi-affiliate media in Lebanon warned of impending diplomatic row between Riyadh and Beirut.
The remarks have been widely welcomed in the region demanding an end to aggression by Saudi-led coalition against Yemen.
