Pakistan has denounced the recent attacks against mosques, Muslim houses and shops by extremist Hindus in the northeastern Indian state of Tripura.
Asim Iftikhar, spokesperson for Pakistan Foreign Ministry, in a statement, severely denounced violence against mosques and Muslim properties by a group of Hindu extremists, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said that Indian authorities have not only failed in responding to calls by Muslims but also stand unresponsive to the local Islamic organizations urging for protection against attacks by radical Hindus.
Asim Iftikhar criticized the limited ambiance for the religious minorities in India who have been denied a peaceful life in the country.
Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesperson also called on the international bodies to play efficient role for ending the intensification of Islamophobia and violence against religious minorities particularly Muslims in India and guarantee security and protection for their religious sites.
