Protected by Israeli forces, dozens of Israeli settlers in Jerusalem al-Quds stormed the al-Aqsa mosque on Sunday in their latest provocation against Palestinian holy sites.

Israeli settlers entered the holy mosque through the Moroccan Gate to mark a Jewish religious occasion in the early hours of Sunday, the Islamic Endowment Department said.
 
Settlers in the occupied al-Quds and hardline Israeli legislators regularly storm the holy site in provocation of the Palestinians and their holy sites.
 
Israeli army has also shut Ibrahimi mosque in the West Bank city of Hebron al-Khalil on Saturday only allowing Jewish settlers to mark the Chayei Sarah occasion.
  
Israeli army closes the mosque to Muslims for up to 10 days throughout the year.
