The people of Sudan continue to protest in various cities against the military's continued presence in power and demand the withdrawal of the military from the political arena.
Abdel Fattah al-Burhan has claimed that with the elections in Sudan, the army would leave the political scene and hand over power to civilians.
Following the military coup in Sudan, people have been on the streets since October 2021, and despite the violent treatment of the protesters by the Sudanese military, people insist on standing up, resisting, and taking to the streets until their demands are met.
Hence, the people of Khartoum and other cities took to the streets again on Tuesday, protesting against the military rule.
Demonstrators held pictures of the detainees and demanded their immediate release while Sudanese military forces fired bullets and tear gas at them, killing and wounding scores.
