President Ebrahim Raisi on Friday paid a visit to the Amirabad Special Economic Zone and Amirabad Dock in Mazandaran Province and emphasized the priority of investing in the development of foreign trade infrastructure with Iran's neighbors.

In meetings with the officials of this region, Raisi was briefed about the capacities and problems of this port on the way to reaching the desired level and completing all its capacities.
 
Referring to the importance of setting up industrial and production factories on the outskirts of the port, the president said: "Amirabad port has many capacities and areas for development and  activation of these capacities should not be postponed."
 
Raisi added:" In the path of development and construction of production and industrial factories, it is necessary for Iran's Department of Environment to facilitate the development path of the port while addressing environmental issues.
