Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought warned of enemies who target solidarity among Muslims counting excommunication as a dangerous tool in the hands of enemies of Islam.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in his speech at the confernce on Qur’an, Key to Unity and Honor held by the cultural deputy of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought warned of the tools used by enemies to undermine solidarity among Muslims, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
 
He said,” If we intend to achieve unity, we should beware of those who intend to undermine our solidarity.”
 
He counted excommunication of Islamic denomincations as one of the tools used by enemies to spark conflict in the world of Islam, begin bloodshed and count each other out of Islam.
 
Visiting the 29^th International Qur’an Exhibition in Tehran, the cleric highlighted the holy book of Islam as a scale to settle disagreements among Muslims.
 
Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari quoted to verses from Qur’an and called on all Muslims to carefully study Qur’an, contemplate on its high meanings and be ware not to follow enemies.
 
“Qur’an should not be set the ground for disagreement between Muslims” said the scholar and added,” Muslims should avoid excommunicating each other immediately after finding a disagreement in exegesis of Qur’an.”
 
Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought made the comments in the international conference on Qur’an held online and in presence of the participants on the sideline of the 29^th International Qur’an Exhibition.
