The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy announced the upcoming visit of the Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Iran-Russia Joint Economic Commission to Tehran.

Mehdi Safari, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy, said at a meeting of the "Russian Joint Economic Commission" on Saturday: "Alexander Novak, Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Russia-Iran Joint Economic Commission, will travel to Tehran."
He is also scheduled to meet with Iran's first vice president.
Cooperation in financial affairs, oil and gas projects, and solving transit problems are on the agenda of the Iran-Russia Joint Economic Commission.
