Major General Yahya Rahim Safavi, the top military adviser to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, said that all world powers are looking at the strategic position of the Persian Gulf, adding that Iran can circumvent the toughest sanctions with a sea-oriented strategy.
Speaking on the sidelines of a visit to Shahid Rajaei port (southern Iran) on Sunday, the top military adviser to the Supreme Leader said that considering the strategic position of the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Sea of Oman for trade exchanges, the adoption of a sea-based strategy has a decisive role in the process of export, transit, and economy of the region.
