Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani said the positive synergy established between the foreign and petroleum ministries in exporting oil had caused the enemies’ “maximum pressure” on the country to fail.
The top diplomat made the statement during his visit to the 26th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, aka Iran Oil Show 2022.
The Foreign Ministry is duty-bound to prepare the ground for all sectors of the country to turn their potential into actual capabilities, said Bagheri Kani, describing it as important at the time of opportunities or threats.
“The diplomatic apparatus and its tools must have the capacity to pave the way for managing and taking the optimal advantage of these opportunities and threats, no matter we are faced with threats or opportunities,” Shana cites as he elaborated.
The synergy between the two ministries of foreign affairs and petroleum has helped the country export its oil amid sanctions and hand the enemies a defeat, said the deputy foreign minister, continuing they also admitted that their “maximum pressure” has failed.
He continued, “We said a big no to the maximum pressure initiated by [former U.S. President Donald] Trump, and the other side has officially conceded a defeat.
“We are seeking to activate our enormous capacities inside and outside the country by employing our capabilities.”
Touching upon the recent intense diplomatic traffic in the country, Bagheri Kani said the visits and meetings prove that Iran has always been a big player in regional and international arenas.
Iran Oil Show 2022, which opened Friday, is hosting 1,200 Iranian and 44 foreign companies or their agents.
Iran sits atop 11 percent of oil and 18 percent of gas reserves in the world.
Every year, the country hosts an international event in different oil, gas, refining, and petrochemical sectors. It is among the most significant oil and gas events in the world in terms of the number of participants and its diversity.
The presence of top foreign companies, domestic producers, and industrialists provides a good opportunity for bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
