Yemeni Parliament has called for international laws to criminalize desecration of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) following the latest sacrilegious remarks by two members of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in India.
In its Monday night meeting Yemeni Parliament has condemned the recent desecration of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and his household by India's BJP stressing that such measures stand for immorality of the perpetrators, Taqrib News Agency reported Yemen's SABA news as saying.
Yemeni Parliament noted that such desecrating remarks stand for the extreme immorality of the perpetrators and added," The insult does not target merely Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) but aims all Muslims across the globe."
Lawmakers stressed that people should not keep silent regarding the disrespect calling the Indian government to take clear stance against the irresponsible comment and bring the perpetrators to justice.
It also slammed some Arab and Islamic countries in regards to such desecrating moves calling on Muslim states to resolutely stand against the issue.

Following sacrilegious remarks by BJP spokeswoman Nupur Sharma in a television debate and also a tweet by Naveen Kumar Jindal, India's ruling party has suspended the speaker and expelled Jindal.
The remarks have raged Muslim nations and governments as a number of countries naming Iran and the Persian Gulf Arab states have summoned Indian ambassadors to voice opposition with the sacrilegious content against Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
